History
The District was created by the Texas Legislature in 1971, and contains approximately 399.4 acres of land. The District is located in northern Harris County approximately 24 miles from downtown Houston, and the District lies wholly within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Houston. Cypresswood Drive bisects the District east to west, and the District is located less than one mile from the intersection of Cypresswood Drive and Kuykendahl Road.
